This summer has been turbulent here, to say the least. Storms have regularly darkened and then lit up the skies above the Alberes, before heavy rain and hailstones batter everything beneath. We may not have had the classic summer days-on-end of uninterrupted sun and clear blue skies in 2015 (although there's been plenty of heat) but instead we have witnessed great atmospheric drama unfolding on a regular basis. Here is a small selection of the sights in the sky around the Roc du Midi:
